That Red House Soapberries
That Red House Soapberries or Soapnuts are a dried berry derived from the Sapindus Mukorossi tree which is native to the Himalayas. Soapberries have been used in India and Nepal as a detergent alternative for centuries.
Place up to 5 berries in the small cotton drawstring bag which is provided and drop it into your washing machine. The bag can stay in your washing machine through the washing and rinse cycles. After 5 loads of washing the soapberries are spent and can be added to your household compost.
If you want a fragrance in your washing, simply place a few drops of your favourite essential oil into the fabric softener dispenser of your washing machine and it will fragrance your washing in the final rinse cycle.
