Ambered Sandalwood Fragrant Oil 20 ml

This fragrance is used at a ratio of approximately 8% by weight of wax, but fragrance is a personal choice; some people like more and some people like less. You will also find that you may use more of less with different waxes. 10% is the maximum usage rate for maximum scent throw and higher usage rates will compromise the integrity of the wax.

Note – If you are making a 100 g candle you may use 8 g of fragrance to 92 g wax.

Top notes: Fresh Linen

Mid notes: Orris, Sandalwood

Base Notes: Vanilla, Patchouli, Musk, Amber

Although fragrant oils are sourced from primarily natural ingredients, they still have a chemical element to them.  Remember that you can use essential oils, which are all natural, in your candles and skin care but the scent will not be as aromatic and will not last as long.

Understanding Fragrances

Fragrance oils are complex compositions made up of top, mid, and base notes, each playing a crucial role in the overall scent experience.

  • Top Notes: These provide an energetic first impression and are the first to fade, paving the way for the heart notes. Examples include citrus scents like lemon, orange, and bergamot, as well as invigorating scents like pepper and mint.
  • Mid Notes: Also known as heart notes, these form the core of the fragrance, adding depth and personality. Common mid notes include fruity, floral, and spicy scents.
  • Base Notes: These linger the longest, providing the full body of the scent. Base notes often include rich, earthy scents like cedarwood, amber, musk, vetiver, vanilla, and patchouli.

The carefully curated fragrances ensure a harmonious blend of these notes, creating a captivating scent experience for your candle-making projects.
