1. For a laundry soak:

Add 1–2 tablespoons of sodium percarbonate to approximately 5 litres of warm water and stir until dissolved. Add suitable laundry items and soak for several hours or overnight, then wash as normal. For best results, use warm or hot water, as sodium percarbonate works more effectively as the water temperature increases.Tip: Always check the care label first and test on an inconspicuous area. It is an oxygen bleach and may lighten some dyes or affect delicate fabrics.

2. Laundry Booster

Add 1 tablespoon of sodium percarbonate to your usual laundry detergent for an extra boost when washing towels, bedding, whites and heavily soiled washable items. For coloured fabrics, check colourfastness before use.

3. General-Purpose Oxygen Cleaner

Create a simple fresh-use cleaning solution: 1 tablespoon sodium percarbonate 500 ml warm water

Stir until dissolved and use on suitable washable surfaces, such as bins, washable cleaning cloths and heavily soiled areas.
Make fresh each time rather than storing the solution, as the active oxygen gradually breaks down.

4. Bin and Laundry Basket Freshener

1–2 tablespoons of sodium percarbonate to a bucket of warm water. Use the solution to clean and freshen washable rubbish bins, laundry hampers and other hard, washable household items. Allow the surface to remain wet for several minutes before rinsing thoroughly.

5. Cleaning Paste for Tough, Washable Areas

For a targeted cleaner, combine sodium percarbonate with a small amount of water to form a paste.

Apply to a suitable washable surface, leave for a short period, scrub and rinse thoroughly.This can be useful for tackling grime on items such as washable plastic bins, utility-area surfaces and other robust household materials.

Sodium percarbonate is an oxidising cleaning agent. Keep out of reach of children and pets and avoid contact with eyes and prolonged contact with skin. Wear gloves when handling the powder or concentrated solutions.

Do not mix sodium percarbonate with acids, chlorine bleach, ammonia or other cleaning chemicals. Use it on compatible, washable surfaces and fabrics only. Avoid use on wool, silk, leather and other delicate or unsuitable materials. Always check fabric and surface manufacturer’s care instructions and test an inconspicuous area first.
